Welcome to our Web site. This site offers you the opportunity to learn more about CONSTRUCTION DESIGN & DEV.,INC., founded in 1986. We are a multi discipline Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company specializing in construction design and construction layout of all types of developments from residential, commercial, retail, industrial, airports, bridges and highways. We also do multi story high rises and apartment complexes as well as Active 55 retirement developments. The owner is a member of several organizations such as the American Legion, National Congressional Committee, Association of Former Intelligence Officers, NFIB, Habitat for Humanity, APOA, National Pilots Association, U.S.Chamber of Commerce, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce,Stanfords Who's Who Black Book, American Society of Civil Engineers,Buildings Trade Association, The Blue Book, and rides a Harley Davidson motorcycle with the "Moo Cow Bikers" of Chick-Fil-A Corporation. He and his wife Linda have five kids and four grandkids and resides in Fayette County, Georgia. We have registered engineers and land surveyors in six states, Alabama, Florida,Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. We also have two registered Soil Scientist on staff as well. We do not sub out any of our work it's all done in house. However, most of our professionals work at an office in their resident set up by the company in order to reduce travel expenses and lower the overhead at the main office. We are all linked together by "Office Sync" computers, Blackberry PDA's, and vehicle computers and faxes. We have been doing this for over a decade and it works well in everyone's favor and we always get the jobs done. We are in contact with each other anytime, any where. We are also a Construction Management Group that takes control of projects from start to finish, does all the construction staking, handles the subcontractors and permitting of the projects. We also specialize in raising complete houses and buildings up to get them higher than a flood elevation.
We are currently working with local goverments in raising several houses that are in a flood hazard area of the Chattahoochee River and tributary creeks flood plain to an elevation above the flood stage to allow the house to remain where it is located.
